Tatum HS back in state basketball tournament

Posted: Updated:
Nacogdoches, TX -

It's only the first day of March and the madness has begun.  Tatum high school has been on a roll this postseason and they took on Kountze in the finals of the regional tournament Saturday afternoon.  The Eagles trailed at halftime by 3 points but came out and led Kountze by 10 right out of the gate in the second half.  It would be a back and forth battle that would end in overtime, 84-82, with a Klifton Willis buzzer beating lay-up to punch their ticket to the state tournament in Austin.
