We'd like to tell you about another great teacher who won her grant last summer.
The kindergarten teacher is making a positive impact in her classroom by teaching her students how to become better writers.

It is a critical time for early development of writing skills here in Jana Hinderberger's  kindergarten class.

The Sun City Elementary teacher says thanks to her One Class At a Time grant, she was able to purchase tools for the classroom.

"I actually got enough of the strands. I  got two full kits and then enough of the strands for all the kindergarten teachers.   We have 7 kindergarten teachers, and 2 first grade teachers," said Hinderberger.

It is a multi-sensory tool that allows them to expand oral and written language.
"They can take a topic such as apple and they can tell you what it is and where it comes from," said Hinderberger.

Through a hand-on learning tool that increases the vocabulary and writing skills of her class, Mrs. Hinderberger is making an impact in the lives of her students, One Class At a Time.
