HARRISON COUNTY, Tx. -

East Texas authorities are still searching for DeBerry teen Alicia Benefield, who was last seen early Friday morning at a home on Old Town Blvd. in Elysian Fields, Tx.

The Shreveport and Bossier City fire departments have also sent K9 search and rescue units to aid in the search for Benefield, which is being conducted in an area of I-20 near Waskom.

"They're expanding that search down to where the residence is on Old Town Boulevard," Jay Webb with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office said. "Beyond that, we'll go into Panola County and DeBerry where the residence of Miss Benefield is."

Her car, a blue Dodge Stratus, was discovered later Friday at DeBerry Baptist Church on Highway 31, less than a mile from her home. Investigators say her cell phone and purse were left inside the car.

Authorities say Benefield didn't report to work on Friday evening in Carthage as scheduled.

Harrison County investigators are also currently speaking with a person of interest in the case, 25-year-old Rodris Webster. Webster is Benefield's boyfriend.

Webster was arrested for aggravated assault in January, after he allegedly threatened Benefield with a knife. She dropped the charges more than a month later, and Webster was released earlier this month.

She's described as petite, about 110 pounds, with a nose piercing, braces and "Wanda Ree" tattoo on her right forearm.

If you have any information about where Benefield may be, call Harrison County authorities at (903) 923-4000.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
