Rick Rowe Arklatex Best: Louisiana Tech Fishing

Posted: Updated:

To these kids it's more than casting out their rod and reel. It's about the thrill of competition and being a part of a team.

Louisiana Tech, in Ruston, Fishing Team is gearing up for the College National Championship. And that's something that they don't take lightly.

If fact, one member who plays other sports said fishing is the toughest. Full of mental games and plenty of strategy.

And the thrill of fishing competition is moving its way across the state. With the Bass Masters Classic and high school teams popping up.

As the big day gets closer, Louisiana Tech is baiting their hooks hoping to reel in a big one for the school and fish lovers everywhere.
