Kacey Davis wins $1,000

Posted: Updated:

A local special education teacher is hoping to engage her students in learning with computer software. But that software doesn't come cheap so KTBS 3's One Class At a Time stepped in to help.

Kacey Davis, of Paul Laurence Dunbar Early Education Center is our latest winner!

We surprised the special education teacher with a check for $1,000. She will use the money to purchase computer software called the Kids Learning PC. This will allow her students to successfully navigate through educational programs online. Mrs. Davis said she is excited to get started.

"Oh never in a million years I mean you, I watch KTBS all the time and I see the One Class At a Time.   I was like ugh and so I thought hey why not I'll give it a shot and you know technology is always something you can use," said Davis.

Our latest teacher was so appreciative of her reward.
