Actor, extras needed for feature film

The call is going out to budding actors for a feature film that's set for production in May in Shreveport. "Campin' Buddies" will star Mel Tillis and shooting will begin May 12th.

The filmmaker is looking for a principal actor and background extras for the shoot. Here are some specifics of what's needed:

PRINCIPAL ROLE

 

  • Overweight boy
  • 9-13 years old
  • caucasian
  • crazy country kid running through the campground, falling and thrashing on the ground
  • 8 lines

 

BACKGROUND EXTRAS

 

  • Young boy 
  • 8-13 years old
  • any ethnicity
  • seen walking through the brush
  • mistaken for a duck

 

THREE YOUNG BOYS or GIRLS

 

  • 10-16 years old
  • any ethnicity
  • one boy/girl extremely tall
  • one boy/girl very skinny
  • one boy/girl odd looking
  • unique, maybe nerdy, seen running through the campground

 

TOWNSPEOPLE

 

  • 18-99 years old
  • ALL ethnicities
  • country, deliverance types, rednecks, odd looks, missing teeth, long beards, etc.

 

THREE THUG/GANG GUYS

 

  • 18-40 years old
  • ALL ethnicities
  • tough, thugish, maybe big, mean, scary

    A sailboat accident claimed the life of an unidentified man in his early 20's Friday evening.According to the St. Tammany Sheriff's Office, a small sailboat flipped over in Lake Pontchartrain near the mouth of Tchefuncte River around 5 p.m.Another person who was thrown from the boat was rescued, said the sheriff's office.Around 8:30 p.m., St. Tammany Sheriff's Office confirmed a body had been found.
