BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTBS) -
Bossier schools are growing. Friday afternoon a ribbon cutting ceremony took place for the extra wing additions to W.T. Lewis Elementary School.
The event was held inside. Several officials where on hand for the event including the Bossier Parish Police Jury, The Air force Global Strike Command, and several community members.
"W. T. Lewis has been one of our fastest growing elementary schools. This expansion will give them the much needed space to better accommodate the demands of the growing student body," said Superintendent D.C. Machen.
The expansion is part of the 2012 bond proposition funding.
