Previous winners Katie Efferson and Polly Pendersgras

We'd like to tell you about some other fantastic educators from Evangel Christian Academy. 

The two won their grant back in November and they are making a difference in the lives of their students. "They are excited about what they have learned at home and the parents are excited about it," said Polly Pendergras.

Katie Efferson and Polly Pendersgras knows that education is key for their first grade students.
They say thanks to their One Class At a Time grant, they were able to purchase soft ware equipment that will last for the next five years.  

"We brought brain pop to the attention of other teachers so because of what we were able to purchase with the grant, our entire school was able to benefit from it," said Pendergrass.

The two are making a difference in the lives of their students,One Class At a Time.

    Shreveport fire crews had their hands full with a late morning fire. The blaze broke out around 11:05 a.m. on the 700 block of Turner Lane. When crews arrived on scene, they found flames coming from a window of the home.Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control within an hour. Authorities say the home was vacant with no utilities, however it appears someone had been staying there.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
