Suspect identified in early morning Wal-Mart bomb threats

Posted: Updated:

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man suspected of making bomb threats that shut down 4 Wal-Marts in the Texarkana area. Police are looking for 46 year old William Dudley Edwards. Authorities say they received a bomb threat against the stores around 6:30 a.m. this morning. Wal-Mart officials immediately began evacuating customers in the Ashdown-New Boston stores and the Wal-Marts on both sides of Texarkana.

Local authorities assisted in the evacuation and continue to work to find the source of the threat.

The stores reopened around 10:30 a.m. this morning.
