The KTBS 3 Summer Reading Festival and ArtBreak celebrated the big 30 this week. What is known as the biggest arts and reading festival for students has been around for 30 years in the ArkLaTex, and it is all on display at the Shreveport Convention Center.
This week thousands of 3rd grade students got a hands on lessons in the arts. While 2nd grade students are being encouraged to get library cards and continue reading this summer. "This week completes our 30th year of doing this so that is a lot of second graders. We have brought thousands of students here through the years. This year, we had 5,000 this year," said Jan Elkins.ArtBreak
