UPDATE --- This is from the Praying for Coach Rodney Guin Facebook page, posted by Mallory Guin:

"Update on Dad: this morning they took out a small balloon pump that was helping him out a little. Praise The Lord there were no complications and he has been continuously stable for over 24 hours. He should be heading out of Shreveport at around noon. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers and concerns but visitation at Baylor needs to be kept to a minimum. We will start a Caring Bridge Page as soon as we get settled and keep you all up to date. Thank you for ALL the prayers. Our God truly is miraculous."

The fight for life continues today for Haughton High School football coach Rodney Guin who suffered a massive heart attack early Saturday morning. He'd just returned from New Orleans after attending a Lady Bucs softball game when he had the attack.

Doctors plan to move him to Dallas today where they are weighing their options. The initial plan was to perform a heart transplant, but doctors are reportedly looking at other medical options. At last check, the 53-year old was listed in critical condition.

Coach Guin has been at Haughton High School for 27 years, 15 as head coach. He is the winningest coach in the school's history.

Guin’s daughter Maggie said in a post on Facebook that her father is “still not out of the woods but ya’ll the Lord is covering him.”

Meanwhile, well wishes are being posted on Coach Guin’s Facebook page.
