Texarkana, Texas -

Are you ready to help Stamp Out Hunger?

It's the nation's largest single food drive.

Texarkana residents are being encouraged to help fight hunger this weekend by leaving non-perishable food donations out by their mailboxes.

On Saturday, postal employees around the country will be picking up non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes as part of the 22nd annual "National Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger" food drive.

Letter carrier John Hill says last year they collected 37,000 pounds of food.

Donations will also be accepted in the post office lobbies on Robinson Road and North Stateline Avenue.

All donations will go to local food banks and pantries.
