First RB taken in NFL won't be LSU's Hill

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La - The NFL draft begins Thursday with the first round and the expectation is.. no running backs will be taken.  LSU's Jeremy Hill may hear his name on Friday, but our draft expert, the author of the NFL Draft Book which will is used by the league in New York, Dave-Te Thomas believes the first running back taken will be one of two players.

"I think it's going to come down to Carlos Hyde at Ohio State or my favorite guy, the second coming of Emmitt Smith, you hear that Dallas!, and that's Bishop Sankey up at Washington. This kid is the best running back I can see on the board. Hill? It's going to come down to him or Mason as the third or fourth running back off the board."

Thomas will be part of our draft night half hour special called "On The Clock."  Thomas will analyze the cowboys and saints needs while providing insight.. As we also look at local players and teams.  Join us Thursday night at 6:30 going right up to when the Houston Texans go on the clock at seven, on KTBS 3 News.
