CADDO PARISH, La. -

Three men are in jail charged with burglary after kicking in the doors of several residences in Shreveport and Greenwood, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator.

Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, patrol deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Jefferson-Paige Road where a homeowner arrived home and found the front door kicked in. An alarm system at the home took pictures of a suspect inside the house. Deputies also recovered a shoe print off the front door.

An hour later, deputies were dispatched to the 10,000 block of Woolworth Road where three suspects tried to kick in the front and back doors of a residence. The suspects fled when a woman inside the home screamed.

Sheriff's Sgt. Greg Ardoin spotted the suspects' Mercury Marquis and conducted a traffic stop on Colquitt Road at Freedoms Way. A stolen pistol was also found in the car. Deputies used evidence collected at the scenes to link the men in the car to the burglaries.

The suspects were identified as Garlandous D. Cathron, 21, of the 7300 block of Fairfield; Katryle J. Bryant, 22, of the 3900 block of Golf Links Blvd.; and Gardarius D. Williams, 18, of the 2900 block of Darien St.

Sheriff's Detectives Jason Morgan and Russell Hicks and Greenwood Police Lt. Shayne Gibson charged all three suspects with the burglary on Woolworth, a burglary in the 8800 block of Greenwood Road that occurred on April 30, and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Bryant and Williams also were charged with the burglary on Jefferson-Paige. Cathron was also charged as a fugitive and Bryant was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Detectives say more charges against the three are pending. At least four other similar burglaries are under investigation.
