SHREVEPORT, La. -

One person has been transported to an area hospital after a collision with a school bus.

It happened just after 4:00 p.m. Thursday on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

Three kids and two adults were on the school bus when the accident happened. It appears that a yellow 2-door Chevrolet Cavalier rear-ended the school bus causing the low-lying car to partially go under the bus.

No one on the bus was injured and the kids' parents arrived on scene to take their children home.

The driver of the Cavalier was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Eastbound traffic from 3132 to Millicent is currently shutdown as crews work to clear the scene.
