A supercell approaching the Shreveport/Bossier City metro area late Friday afternoon began developing a tornado around 5:45 PM.  As shown, the hook echo on Mega 3 Doppler Radar (left) was just west of Cross Lake traveling east at 15-20 mph.  One of our viewers, Callie Tucker sent the photo (right) of the wall cloud protruding from the rain free base of the storm.  Fortunately, as the supercell moved over Cross Lake, it weakened.  It still had winds of 55 plus mph coming from the rear flanking downdraft as it tracked across north Shreveport causing tree and power line damage.
