SHREVEPORT, La. -

A local woman lands behind bars following an alleged kidnapping in west Shreveport.

Just after 11pm on Saturday, Shreveport Police were called to a home in the 600 block of West 71st Street relative to a reported kidnapping. A woman there told police she'd been victim of a kidnapping at gunpoint by a woman she knew.

The victim advised the incident occurred when she and a friend arrived home to discover the suspect was hiding inside the residence.

The suspect, Keatre Daniels, 21, of Shreveport , reportedly threatened to shoot the victim's friend unless the victim accompanied her. Daniels reportedly took the victim by force, ordering her to drive to various locations around Shreveport. The woman stated she was eventually released unharmed after being held captive upwards of two hours.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives were dispatched to the home and launched an interview in the matter. Today, authorities located Daniels at a home in the 9300 block of Mansfield Road. Daniels was taken into custody without incident and based on evidence gathered during the investigation, was charged with a single count of second degree kidnapping and aggravated assault.
