SHREVEPORT, La -
This past weekend, North Caddo's Lagarion Taylor won the Class 2A state championship in the triple jump and placed second in the long jump. You may not find anyone as busy as the three sport star.

"To me it's just natural, I just do it. I can't be still and be at home and lazy," Taylor said.

"Lagarion is such a great kid. He plays football and then he goes straight to basketball and then straight to track. He does what we ask him to do in the classroom. He's never a discipline problem. He always does his best at everything he does. He's such a competitor," head coach Jerry Byrd said.
And in all three sports, the Rebels have relied on Taylor to lead the team.

"I just show action. To me, this leadership thing is you just do what you got to do to keep everybody in control on the team. And everybody says they want to be like me or something like that," Taylor explained.

"He's the epitome of a silent leader. He'll just go out and work hard and he's a great example. He doesn't get too high or too low, no matter what the situation. Other kids see that and how hard he works in the weight room and how it pays off on the field," Byrd added.

Taylor recently signed with Garden City Community College on a track scholarship and is excited to start a new adventure in the fall.
