Man wounded in Webster Parish home invasion

WEBSTER PARISH, La. -

A man is recovering at an area hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds during a home invasion Friday.

Webster Parish deputies are investigating the mid-day shooting that occurred on Bud Lee Road, near La. Hwy Alt 2.

As of 4:30 p.m. today, Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton said no arrest(s) have been made.

"We don't have anyone in custody at this time," Sexton said.

    A person from Caddo Parish has died from West Nile Virus. The Louisiana Department of Health and Human Services confirmed the death to KTBS 3 News on Thursday afternoon. According to DHH, the victim was between 60 and 74 years of age.
