Rodeo raises money for wounded soldiers

They're saddling up for our soldiers. The North Louisiana Wounded Soldier Benefit takes place June 19-22 at the Bossier Parish Riding Club Arena in Benton. The event will include team roping, bull riding, a trail ride, ranch rodeo and ranch sorting.

A trail ride will start at 8:30 a.m., Saturday morning followed by lunch at noon. The ranch rodeo will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday.

The weekend of events concludes  Sunday at 11 a.m. with Cowboy Church beginning at noon, led by Pastor Dennis Arron.

Admission prices vary on Friday and Saturday, but events on Thursday and Sunday are free to attend.

All proceeds will got to the Louisiana Veterans Foundation.
