Two local men are behind bars following an argument that led to a shooting in west Shreveport.

Just after 6pm on Wednesday, Shreveport Police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Summers Street relative to a shooting.

An argument inside the home apparently led to a fight during which time Jarakeem Williams allegedly struck Prince Hill with a closed fist. As a result of the incident, Hill reportedly pulled a handgun and fired several rounds in an attempt to frighten Williams. During the shooting, Williams was grazed in the head by a bullet; however his injuries were considered minor and medical attention was refused.

Both men were arrested following the melee, and now face charges in the matter. Williams, 24, of the 3100 block of Lillian Street was arrested and charged with a single count of simple battery, while Hill, 27, of the 6500 block of Quillen Boulevard was charged with the illegal use of a weapon.
