Blood drive for Shreveport man shocked at work site

Posted: Updated:

The family of 24-year-old  Nathan Johnson say he's in critical, but stable condition  right now at University Health in Shreveport.

Johnson was shocked Monday at a construction site in Shreveport.

His aunt, Darla Johnson, says he will be brought out of his medically induced coma today. They're asking the public to pray or his recovery.

So far, 60 pints of blood have been used during his treatment

Lifeshare Blood Center is holding a blood drive to honor and help him.

They say Johnson's accident serves as a perfect example for why donations are needed.
