Shreveport Regional Airport gets first class services again

Posted: Updated:

First class is back at the Shreveport Regional Airport. Delta's first flight with first class seating flew into the ArkLaTex Wednesday afternoon.

The plane was greeted with a traditional water arch before deboarding its passengers.

In total, there are 110 seats and 12 of them are first class. The daily flight of the Boeing 717 brings more seating to Shreveport, and allows the airport to serve more passengers.

“There is a demand for those seats,” said Bryant Francis, director of airport. “And also it instills, we think, the confidence that Delta has in this market to be even busier than it has been in years past.”

This is the first time Shreveport has had Delta mainline service in 12 years. A second daily flight with Delta will begin October 1st.

American starts flying first class out of SHV August 19th.
