Caddo Commissioners review animal services' Saturday hours, some aren't happy

It was a solution many animal rights activists said would help decrease the kill rate at Caddo Animal Services. Caddo Commissioners review if Saturday hours worked adopt more animals.

At the Caddo Commission's meeting Thursday, animal services released some statistics about the extra hours. From March to June, 27 animals were adopted. Intake of new animals went up by 50. Some commissioners were disappointed with the findings and have asked for the Saturday hours' financial impact.

The number of people to visit animal services for various reasons was 316. Eight lost animals were returned to their owners
