Shreveport woman may have saved hundreds of lives through blood donation

Shreveporter Audrey Lee has potentially saved more than 226 lives just by donating blood and plasma.  She started donating blood back in the 80s because someone close to her had cancer and she just wanted to help. 

Lee says, "It's just easy to help someone with one hour of your time." She is avid supporter of LifeShare Blood Centers and wants to encourage everyone to donate one hour of time to give the gift of life.

Meanwhile, The annual MASH BASH blood drive is happening Wednesday and Thursday in the ArkLaTex. Area blood centers really need your help this week as blood supplies are typically low this time of year. Anyone who is 16 years or older and in good health is encouraged to donate. If you are interested in donating, please drop by one of the following locations on Wednesday or Thursday between 10am & 8pm (Linwood location opens at 8am):
