East Cove Receivership water customers still without water

Posted: Updated:
Caddo Parish -

Customers of the East Cove Receivership Water System in Caddo Parish are still without water as of Sunday.

A pump at the water plant that pumps the water out into the distribution system is not functioning.

The outage does not include the town of Mooringsport.

As a temporary solution the plant has parked a 500 gallon water tank beside the town hall of Mooringsport at 122 West Croom Street.

Customers who have been affected are able to get water from this temporary source.

Residents will have to bring their own containers to be filled. This will be provided until water service can be restored.

The plant is working to get the problem resolved as soon as possible.

Those affected will possibly be without water until Monday.
