Talking Tigers; Auburn and Florida discuss LSU

Posted: Updated:
Hoover, AL -     LSU won't be taking the podium at SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama until Wednesday, but Auburn and Florida are already talking about the Tigers.

There was only one blemish on Auburn's perfect regular season record, a loss to LSU, which the other Tigers said was a turning point on their way to a national championship game appearance."I really think that turned everything around. That loss, or that second half I should say, showed what we can do. One of the biggest sparks besides beating Texas A&M last season," says Auburn defensive lineman Gabe Wright.

Florida also took the podium Monday after going 4-8 this past year and they're ready for 2014 with a new spread offense. You could say the LSU-Florida game may look a bit different. "I think this year we have a total opposite approach to our offense so I think it'll be more of a high scoring game. But that's always a fun one. It's a game that's circled on our calendar," says quarterback Jeff Drisk

Gator's

Gators' head coach Will Muschamp is also excited about the annual matchup, "I would expect it to be a typical Florida-LSU game from the standpoint of a physical fist fight, so to speak. I've been on both sides of the rivalry and it's certainly it's a game as a coach, you enjoy coaching in, and as a player, you enjoy playing in."

Vanderbilt and new head coach Derek Mason wrapped up Day 1 of SEC Media DWe'll We'l hear from four more teams Tuesday, including Mississippi State and Haughton native Dak Prescott, as well as Texas A&M.
