New businesses revive Silver Lake downtown Shreveport

Posted: Updated:

There's a big party going on in downtown Shreveport Thursday night.

The area used to be part of downtown's Silver Lake and today, it takes on a whole new personality.

The 400 block of Lake Street will be turned into a block party. That's because 5 entrepreneurs will open their newly-renovated spaces, and the city is helping them by throwing a Cirque de Lake. The Downtown Development Authority says the businesses have just completed extensive renovation and remodeling.

The fun gets underway at 4 o'clock and runs through 8. There will be live music, entertainment, tours, and food-so something for the whole family.

The best part, there's no fee! everyone involved just wants people to come check out the new businesses and have a good time.

Here are the new businesses:

The Agora Borealis Art Gallery

I-Architecture

Nicole Spikes Photography

Vintage Design Group.
