One dead after Shreveport home invasion early Monday morning

UPDATE: Shreveport Police identified the local man that was shot early Monday as William David Carroll, 48.

They say he was shot once in the upper body at his residence in the 3100 block of Holly Street.

Police are looking for two men who officials say are responsible for attempted robbery turned shooting, that left one man dead on Holly street in Shreveport.

Police say a call came in around 3 AM Monday.

When police arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot inside of an apartment on Holly Street.

The man's roommate, who was home at the time police got there was intoxicated, police say. He's only considered a witness at this point.

The deceased's name will not be released until his family has been notified.
