SHREVEPORT, La. -

Two suspected burglars sit behind bars following their arrest by patrol officers Wednesday morning in east Shreveport.

Just after 7:00pm Tuesday, police were called to the 6000 block of Roma Drive relative to reports of suspicious activity. It was reported two men were seen pulling on the handles of multiple vehicles parked in the lot of an apartment complex.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers spotted the two men, who fled from authorities, only to be captured following a brief foot chase. During an investigation of the incident, it was learned some of the vehicles had been burglarized. Police nabbed Jacarvis Rambo, 20, along with William Stewart, 19, on scene at the complex. Both local men were transported to Shreveport Police headquarters where they were interviewed by detectives, then book into the city jail. Rambo was charged with simple burglary and property damage, while Williams was charged with simple burglary, resisting an officer and trespassing.
