LSU may not have starting QB yet, but Wisconsin just named their QB

Posted: Updated:
BATON ROUGE, La - In less than a week, the LSU football team will open up the 2014 season. It's Les Miles' 10th season with the tigers and they're no strangers to opening the year with big games. The purple and gold face Wisconsin in the Advocare Texas Kickoff in Houston. Game week preparation begins Monday and the Tigers are taking it easy this weekend following what Miles said is one of their best practices to date on Friday.

While Miles still hasn't made a decision on who will be the game day starting quarterback, the Badgers have tabbed their number one QB. Tanner McAvoy will take the first snap over last year's starter Joel Stave. McAvoy gives Wisconsin a more dual-threat style under center.

"We've had success with other dual-threat guys, but it's been a different style of offense. The Wisconsin offense is a quality ground game, you know out of a variety of formations and now mobile quarterback. We would expect the same route tree to be used in the same offense, but now just maybe a little more mobile quarterback," said Miles.
