worried about getting those last- minute christmas gifts wrapped. but one shreveport man is battling much more than that... he's got no hot water... and he's facing eviction. nick caloway went to find out more... the story is new at six. nathaniel lewis has lived at the kings manor "2" apartments... for about three months. and for nearly two of those months... his hot water has not worked. "one sunday afternoon i fixed dinner for my mother and sister, cooked a big meal, went to wash the dishes and didn't have hot water." lewis says he's filed plenty of complaints... and still... nothing has been done. "i've been without hot water since the 11th of last month. which meant thanksgiving i didn't have hot water. and the way things are going now, it seems like christmas i won't have hot water." " to give you an idea of what it's like to live without hot water in the winter time, i measured the temperature of the water in the shower today. it came in around 66 degrees. that's a vast difference from the 106 degree showers that many of us take every day." the lease nathaniel lewis signed... with kings manor "2"... says hot water is an included amenity. but 40 days later... no relief. in the meantime... lewis has spent more than 800- dollars staying in hotel rooms... just so he can take a shower. as a result... he couldn't afford december rent... and the complex has filed an eviction notice. "i'm not asking for anything. the only thing i want is what i pay for. i pay rent to live in a place: after i go to work come home, take a shower, cook a hot meal, wash my dishes, and do the same thing over again." the apartment manager told us they're in the proces of fixing the water heater. but if an agrement can't be worked out soon... nathaniel lewis's chances of living here. could be going down the drain. in shreveport, nick caloway, ktbs 3 news. the louisiana attorney general's office gets involved in landlord and tenant issues... on a daily basis. the attorney general's website offers some renter rights and guidelines.. we've posted a link to that page.. on our web site... ktbs-dot-com.. just look for this story. this update now.. those residents along wells island
