wrapped
up
its
20-12
season.
there
were
a
few
changes
designed
to
attract
more
visitors...
but
after
a
look
at
the
numbers...
it
looks
like
wonderland
attendance
was
down.
so--
what's
next?

has
more--
new
at

"there
were
more
lights,
and
i
think
that's
something
when
people
come
back
to
visit
now
they
say,
well
there
were
more
lights."
wonderland
2012
has
come
and
gone
and
now
the
marshall
convention
and
visitors
bureau
is
evaluating
what
worked
and
what
didn't.
"comments
from
people
are
that
they
want
more
lights.
and
it's
our
hope
that
we
can
figure
out
a
solution
for
that."
wonderland
officials
wanted
to
attract
more
people
to
event
and
invested
heavily
in
the
festival
to
draw
a
big
crowd.
"some
of
the
other
things
they've
tried
to
add
as
a
component
to
that,
there's
mixed
emotions
throughout
the
community
about
the
effectiveness
of
that."
"whether
the
enthusiasm
is
still
in
the
community
for
that
participation
or
whether
you
can
recapture
that
is
another
issue
or
another
question."
for
now,
wonderland
officials
and
the
city
of
marshall
are
working
together
to
try
and
find
out
what
happened
and
where
do
they
go
from
here.
but
with
big
investments
into
wonderland
and
a
drop
in
attendance...
they
have
to
figure
something
out
quickly.
"i
think
we'll
know
by
the
end
of
the
month
where
they
are
financially
with
it
and
i
think
that
will
have
a
large
bearing
on
how
the
cvb
goes
forward
with
wonderland."
wonderland
officials
say
they
expect
a
return
on
their
investments
over
a
few
years.
"the
plan
originally
was
that
we
knew
we
couldn't
pay
it
all
off
in
one
year.
we
knew
it
would
take
probably
3
years
to
pay
off
this
investment."
