SHREVEPORT, La. -

Scientist expect a record setting asteroid flyby on the 15th of February.  The football field sized mass of rock will pass as close as 17,200 miles away from the earth.  This approach is less than the geosynchronous orbit of most of our weather satellites at 22,300 miles up.
