SHREVEPORT, La. -

Both Shreveport and DeQueen set record highs today according to the Shreveport National Weather Service!  Shreveport made it to 103 and DeQueen ended up at 107!

The heat was on across all of the ArkLaTex.  In fact, most stations topped 100 today!  Average highs this time of year are near 90 degrees!

Showers/storms were few and far between.  Rain was plentiful in isolated areas though.  Jefferson received 1.10 inches in just over an hour.  The rain chance increases a little by tomorrow night.

Also, much cooler weather is on the way for the weekend!
