SHREVEPORT, La. -

A large summer-time ridged allowed the area to cook this afternoon with highs over 100!  Heat Index values exceeded 115 at times!  A few isolated storms developed near Ruston to Famerville by early evening, but lasted only a very short time.

The same type of weather is forecast for Tuesday.
