SHREVEPORT, La. -

The image shows most of the ArkLaTex exceeding 100 degrees today!  According to the Shreveport National Weather Service, Shreveport tied a record high of 101 set back in the 1870s.  No other records fell in our area today, but most locations were anywhere from 5-10 degrees above average.

Also, Heat Index values ranged from 105-110.  In the sunshine, these Feels Like Temps were near 120!  The Heat Advisory from earlier today was allowed to expire at 9 pm.
