SHREVEPORT, La. -

The Shreveport National Weather Service has issued a Lake Wind Advisory for the northwest part of the ArkLaTex on Friday. It begins at 10 AM and lasts until 6 PM. Winds may gust over 30 mph out of the southwest causing unsafe boating conditions on area waterways.

Also, strong cross winds may make for hazardous driving on bridges and overpasses.
