Mega 3 Doppler Radar showed a "hook echo" where a possible tornado formed at 2:55 pm southwest of Henderson, Texas this afternoon. According to the Shreveport National Weather Service, some damage was reported:
(3:26:01 PM) nwsbot: SHV: 8 SW Henderson [Rusk Co, TX] broadcast media reports TSTM WND DMG at 02:55 PM CDT -- numerous trees down and power outages along cr 468.
This storm and a few others developed south of a cold front across east Texas where the wind shear or atmospheric spin and instability were high. Weather conditions finally stabilized by early evening with the storms dissipating.
