Wet New Year's Eve
Published On: Dec 31 2012 10:04:29 PM CST
An upper atmospheric weather disturbance plus it's surface reflection helped tap into some Pacific Ocean moisture to dump rain on the ArkLaTex. Rain amounts for the most part were light until this evening. Now some stations in TX and LA are getting close to an inch.
Another 1-3 inches with heavier localized amounts are forecast before the storm departs on New Year's Day.
