Dinner time will be here before you know it and if you haven't thought about what to serve up to the family, here's an idea that's not only delicious, but also gives back to the community one slice at a time.
On Monday morning a $25-thousand dollar donation was given to the Alzheimer's Foundation" on behalf of Johnny's Pizza.
Right now if you buy a pizza from Johnny's a portion of your order will go toward the fight against alzheimer's. This is the second year for the Johnny's team to raise awareness and donations for the worthy cause.
Carolyn Tillman of the Alzheimer's Association told KTBS, "there is no cure for alzheimer's. Every dollar that we raise goes towards research so that one day we can find a cure for someone. With something like cancer you can go into remission, but with alzheimer's there is no remission. it's just a progressive brain disease that ultimately ends with someone losing their life."
This year Johnny's Pizza is also offering limited edition cups and fundraiser cards with #EndALZ. This will also get you free refills anytime you you go into a local johnny's pizza joint. The promotion will run throughout the month of June.
