The ladies of Twin City Roller Derby may be fierce, bruising competitors by night, but during they day they are just like everyone else.
Take Full Metal Valchemist for example, who spends her days as a risk manager for a couple of local "It is quite the joke being the risk manager. I have not gotten hurt to date, knock on wood. I had to find a way to release my stress and roller derby is definitely that tool."
These ladies come from many different walks of life, but all seemed to have the same answer when asked why they spend their evenings crashing into each other, "Definitely being able to hit people and it be okay," said captain M.C. RamHer.
"More so the hitting...yeah, the hitting. Definitely not the skating, I fall all the time," added Real Eskate Agent.
But if you spend a little more time with these skaters, you'll hear even more stories of the lasting friendships built through derby, "I kind of had a hard time making friends not being from here. I decided to come and I made a bunch of new friends. I love it," explained Die Again Ali.
