JOHNTOWN, Texas - East Texas authorities have identified three people killed in an underground bunker explosion early this month.
The Red River County Sheriff's Office posted the names on their Facebook page Wednesday afternoon.
The explosion caused the deaths of Michael Bower, 45, of McKinney, Perry Fetterolf, 50, of Willow Park and Misty Marple, 46, of Stephenville. All were from Texas.
The explosion was reported on Oct. 13 and took place on private property in the Johntown community.
The sheriff's office said it is believed to be an accident caused by an unknown gas and an unknown ignition source.
There was a butane tank near the site, but officials have not determined if it played a role in the blast.
Authorities said the land where the explosion occurred was used mainly by hunters and out of town visitors.
The Johntown community is four miles southeast of Bogata.
