MARSHALL, TEXAS - Some big things are coming to Marshall, especially after they just passed their "Mobilize Marshall" plan at Thursday night's commission meeting.
Director of Community and Economic Development, Wes Morrison says he can't give any specifics right now, but said they are working on getting new restaurants and retail businesses to the city.
He says after the Mobilize Marshall plan was passed, this put a foot in the door to help with economic development.
"Right now, we're looking at primarily retail and quality of life," said Morrison. "Not necessarily the high-end job stuff, but more of the to sustain our citizens that are already here. Then, we're also looking at restaurants and capturing some things that were already missing that we're going to Longview and Shreveport for."
Morrison says he'll be able to give more specific details after the June 27 commission meeting.
