BATON ROUGE, La. - First responders from northwest Louisiana are in Baton Rouge awaiting their next assignment.
A team of Bossier deputies, Caddo deputies and Shreveport firefighters left Franklin Sunday morning after spending the night answering calls in the small town about 40 miles south of Lafayette.
That area saw minor structural damage and a few downed tree limbs. No injuries were reported.
Bossier deputies were sent to rescue a group of people from high floodwaters late Saturday night, but those people did not want to leave their home.
Deputies tell KTBS 3 News they'll keep an eye out for any more flooding in south Louisiana in the coming days.
