A Florien man is dead and multiple people were injured Thursday night in a three-vehicle crash in Sabine Parish.
Deputy Coroner Ron Rivers identified the victim as 53-year-old Terrol G. Garner. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Garner was the passenger in a 1999 Ford pickup truck that collided with two other pickup trucks at the intersection of state Highway 6 and state Highway 476 west of Many.
State Police say the Ford truck, driven by Marshall Maxie Jr., slowed down on Highway 6 and prepared to turn left onto Highway 476. A Dodge truck driven by Jerry Schellenger then rear ended the Ford.
According to state police, the collision forced the Ford into the eastbound lane, which then crashed into a GMC pickup being driven by Louis Clinkscales.
State Police say Maxie Jr. and Garner were not wearing their seat belts before the crash. Maxie Jr. was transported to LSU Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Clinkscales, and Clinkscales' passenger also had moderate injuries and were taken to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.
Schellenger had minor injuries and refused medical aid.
Three air ambulances transported the injured from the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
