Military veterans now have urgent care benefits through the VA.
Under the recently implemented Mission Act, the US Department of Veterans Affairs says eligible veterans can go to any urgent or walk-in care provider in the VA's network without prior authorization. This is for treatment of minor injuries or illnesses, such as ear, nose and throat ailments.
You must be enrolled in the VA system, and have received care either at a VA or a community provider within the past 24 months. Co-pays may apply.
