Shreveport Police have made an arrest in a drive-by shooting that claimed the life of a Shreveport man Wednesday evening.
It happened just after 7:00 p.m., on June 12, 2019, Shreveport Police were called to the 3600 block of Jackson Street relative to a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim shot multiple times in the upper body. He's been identified as 34 year old Derek White. He died at Ochsner LSU Health hospital.
Based on information gathered at the scene, police tell us White was standing outside when a blue sedan drove past the home and shot at him multiples times from the vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
On Tuesday, police arrested 29 year old Cadarius D. Brantley. He now faces charges of illegal carrying of a weapon, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of schedule one narcotics with intent to distribute and second degree murder.
