SHREVEPORT, La. - Nasty weather across the ArkLaTex plunged a number of residents and businesses into darkness Friday morning.
Due to suspected downed trees and powerlines, more than 4,500 customers were without service at 6 a.m. The number of outages has dropped to less than 1,000 at 11 a.m.
According to SWEPCO’s website, most of the remaining outages were in Caddo and Bossier parishes.
Crews fanned out across the regional Friday to get the power restored.
