BENTON, La. - An elementary school principal faces domestic abuse battery and child endangerment charges.
Nicholas Cunningham was arrested by Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office Sept. 13. Cunningham was release from jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
Cunningham is the principal of North Caddo Elementary School in Vivian.
The Caddo Parish School Board released the following information in regards to Cunningham's employment status:
"Mr. Cunningham is an active employee with the school system who has satisfied all reporting requirements in alignment with Board policy. While state law prohibits me from discussing personnel details, the district does review information while recognizing an employee’s right to due process."
